Bears Record Prediction

Everyone has their own record prediction. You might not care but here is mine.

BEARS RANTS

8/18/20264 min read

One of the fun parts of being a fan during the offseason and preseason is fantasizing about what the upcoming schedule and outcomes are going to be. Here is my own record prediction for the Bears in 2026.

Week 1: @ Panthers: W

I am riding higher than most on Bryce Young and the Panthers but I believe they start out slow. The Bears offense will be too much for the Panthers defense to handle. Bears win handily.

Week 2: Vs Vikings: W

Kyler Murray is way better than "Nine" but that does not mean that it is going to change the outcome of this game. Ben Johnson and Caleb Williams now have a year under their belt, and this offense should be cookin' right off the bat. Kyler Murray is brand new to this system and will take a second to get used to. Ben and Caleb also now how to attack this Brian Flores defense. Bears win.

Week 3: Vs Eagles: L

I think I may be alone in this but losing A.J. Brown is going to help Jalen Hurts. A.J. Brown was a locker room diva and cancer. I think losing him will help Jalen distribute the ball more and also allow others to play free. With the Bears defense as it is Saquon is going to have a field day running up the middle and to the outside. Hopefully the Bears can torch their defense, but I see the Bears losing a close one.

Week 4: Vs Jets: W

C'mon. This one doesn't need an explanation. Geno Smith, Aaron Glenn, the Jets. The End. Bears dominate.

Week 5: @ Packers: W

These games are Ben Johnsons pride and joy. He loves beating this team. The Packers will more than likely still be missing Micah (Could be back) and a good chance Watson is injured (Because always). That being said it's a rivalry game and will always come down to the wire. Bears win.

Week 6: @ Falcons: W

Tua Turndaballova or Michael "I'm always broken" Penix will help lead the Bears to a W in this game.

Week 7: Vs Patriots: L

I want to say the Bears will win this one but with the Patriots offense looking decent and adding A.J. Brown I think they will pull it out. This one will be another close one.

Week 8: @ Seahawks: W

This might be my first true shock of the schedule. The Bears win this one. The Seahawks lost notable pieces, and I think Sam Darnold takes a step back. Losing K9 (Kenneth Ealker) will show to be a way bigger loss than people are saying. Losing their best RB and getting weaker on defense and Sam Darnold regressing, Da Bears win this one.

Week 9: Vs Bucs: W

I think the Bears give the Bucs fits at home. With Vita Vea potentially leaving and with the Bucs offense losing Mike Evans and almost always being banged up by this point in the year the Bears terrorize them. I still think Baker has a good game, but the Ice man is going to just be better. Bears win.

Week 10: BYE

I genuinely think this is the perfect Bye week timing.

Week 11: Vs Saints: W

The Saints are still in for a rough year and especially missing their new rookie WR for a while. I think Shough is an upgrade from Rattler but I think it is still going to take a bit for Kellen Moore to get Shough going. Bears Win.

Week 12: @ Lions: L

Ben Johnson and the Bears have struggled recently against the Lions and I think it continues here. Amon Ra always has a field day against the Bears. Ben Johnson will get his against this team, this just might not be the one.

Week 13: Vs Jags: W

The Jags had such a great year last year to get them in the playoff. Liam Cohen and Trevor Lawrence have been a match made in heaven. Too bad for them that Caleb and Johnson are a much better duo. Bears Win.

Week 14: @ Dolphins: W

Dolphins are in a rebuild year. This team is built to tank. That being said Malik Willis looked like prime Michael Vick vs the Bears last year. Expect a fight out of the Dolphins before the Bears absolutely trash them. Bears by a landslide.

Week 15: @ Bills: L

This is going to be a rough game. Josh Allen got himself a true WR1 and this defense is going to have a rough day covering their old friend DJ Moore. Hopefully they can contain Josh Allen, DJ Moore and James cook but I believe this could be a loss for the Bears.

Week 16: Vs Packers: W

We are going to SWEEP the Packers. Last year was the start, this year we continue the trend. Bears going to win this one, at home, in the cold!

Week 17: Vs Lions: W

This is where Ben Johnson gets his win vs the Lions. The Bears are going to be clicking and rolling by this point, and they will be looking to roll into the playoffs on a hot streak. Ben Johnson will come up with some crazy things for this game, and he will come out on top. Bears win.

Week 18: @ Vikings: W

Unfortunately for the Vikings Ben Johnson will not rest starters before the post-season. Bears will win this one rolling into the playoffs with yet another division win.

Final Record: 13 - 4

This is very optimistic and I understand. I am very biased I also get that. What fun would it be, being a fan, to go into the season and be like "awe I think the Bears are going to be 6-11 this year". That would be depressing. I like getting my hopes up and letting the Bears tear me down or raise me up. I like riding hard with the highs and lows of this team. This team determines my mood for 5 months out of the year and to be honest usually even more. I love this team and believe in this team. Lets see what the season brings!
